St. Andrew's Centenary in 2014

St Andrew's Church was consecrated in 1914, just after the start of The Great War.  At that time the west end was left unfinished, with a temporary wall. This was rectified in time for the 50th annivesary in 1964, with the construction of a new West End entrance, window and Narthex.

In 2014 we shall be celebrating our Centenary.  In prepartion for this we have re-decorated the inside of the building, bought new chairs, altar, credance table and lectern.  We also hope to update our sound system and possibly install audio/visual equipment.

Needless to say, we are running an Appeal to fund all this!  We estimate that we shall need to raise more than £175,000 pounds over the next 2 years and have already received more than £50,000.
