‘Oh, come let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker’ – Psalm 95:6
Morning Prayer is back at 10.00 am every Wednesday – a Book of Common Prayer Said Service in the Lady Chapel
A Home Prayer Group meets every month for informal study of bible passages and to pray together for the world and for the local community of Coulsdon – via Zoom.
If you have a prayer request or would like more information, please do get in touch with Esther at St Andrew’s Vicar or call 0203 620 1885.
- You don’t have to know any special prayers if you want to pray –
in fact, words can often get in the way. Just picture Jesus, and then say what is in your heart, what you feel. - Not all prayers are answered in the way we might expect or desire, and we don’t always pray for God’s will to be done! Nevertheless, God hears every prayer.
Prayer this Week
Lord God, we pray, by your great mercy, defend your children from all perils and dangers of this night. Speak peace into the crisis in Israel and Gaza and give world leaders wisdom as they handle this situation.
Protect the innocent children, heal them, and provide for them and their families. We pray for the hostages that You bring them home safely and let Your peace wash over their families as they await news of their loved ones. We pray for families who have lost loved ones, that those who grieve and suffer feel the comfort of Your embrace.
Father, we come to You with open hands, knowing and trusting that You are able to do above and beyond anything we can ask for or imagine. Amen.
